Default Privacy - Careful what you tick when installing applications

I was trying to work out why my facebook profile pic was coming up on my sent hotmail emails even though I didn't have a profile pic in hotmail. It seems because I had a link in Skype to hotmail. I can't work out who's in bed with who these days.

Oh yeah; received a phone call missed message from a friend the other day & his profile picture came up, which I previously didn't have on my phone & a message saying is this your friend? WOW they are connecting a lot of dots out there.
    Cheers, Tiny

I keep the internet function on my smartphone off unless I have a specific use for it. (Saves battery power as well.)

It's why I love my 2g phone, doesn't have any of this crap to put up with. Pity that won't be for much longer now.

Not sure what his phone is, mine is a SG S3 Android 4.3.
My guess is the pic probably came from his Google+ account profile.

Google now have caller ID running on all calls on 4.4.4

It works well, any number that rings you thats in the white pages comes up with name and number, no more guessing who it is. I think your right though in your case Tiny, Google Plus profile is most likely.
