Default [Windows 8.x] Make recovery partition visible

    A Windows 8 ( BIOS/MBR-based ) PC typically has the 3 partitions
    1. System partition
    2. Windows partition
    3. Recovery image partition

    A Windows 8 ( UEFI/GPT-based ) PC typically has the 5 partitions
    1. Windows RE tools partition
    2. System partition
    3. Microsoft Reserved (MSR) partition
    4. Windows partition
    5. Recovery image partition

Recovery partition is usually hidden on your Windows 8 PC. That is OK, until you want to access and manipulate data on that partition, for example to update contents of Windows 8 Recovery Partition (volume) to Windows 8.1: The Windows 8.1 upgrade does NOT update contents of Windows 8 Recovery Partition (volume).

The question is how to mount your Windows 8 PC's recovery partition to Windows and make it visible.

    Long story short:

An excellent illustrated, detailed guide you find .

Perhaps your question already was answered here:

In the cited thread everything from my side has been said what I thought I'd have to say.
