Google Public DNS
More and more Internet connections are being filtered, from public Wi-Fi and workplace connection filtering to ISP and country-level censorship. However, there are still ways to get around this filtering and view blocked websites.
Assuming the filtering is just at the DNS level and requests to other DNS servers aren’t being blocked, you can get around the filtering by setting a custom DNS server on your device. This overrides and bypasses the default DNS server controlled by your Internet service provider or the organization running the network.
Since May, 2014 it exists , a free, global Domain Name System (DNS) resolution service, that you can use as an alternative to your current DNS provider.
Use something like "Google Public DNS" and you’ll know no DNS-level filtering is taking place.

Be aware that using alternate DNS services will usually result in less-than-optimal operation of content caches possibly resulting in poor speeds when viewing / listening to streaming services / downloading files. Where possible use your ISP's DNS, ie only use a service such as Google's DNS when you specifically need to work around any blocking imposed by your ISP's DNS.
