Your link doesn't work for me but is it not as simple as using the $ sign in your equation
IE: A1+A2 the result in C3 could be =SUM(A1:B1) this would total 20 (if the total in 1 and 2 was 10)
However if I copy C3 to C7 the equation is changed to =SUM(A7:B7) a total of Zero
but if I place a $ in the original equation so that it now becomes =SUM($A$1:$B$1) it doesn't matter where I copy it to, the result remains the same.
