windows 7 SD card not reading

I have a HP laptop dvd6 I plug in a Mirco SD card but windows don't find it how do I update software to find it

This might sound like a really crazy idea, but maybe you could download the card reader driver from the HP website.

Do you get any error message when the SD Card is not recognized?

If it's running Windows 7, then try using the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter to fix the problem. It checks for common issues and makes sure that any device or hardware attached to your computer was installed correctly. Note: To make sure you have the most up-to-date troubleshooters from the Windows Online Troubleshooting Service, your computer should be connected to the Internet.

HOW TO:
