10 years ago, Firefox was created as the only independent choice on the Web. "We believe the Web should be free, open and yours", the makers of Firefox say:

I like this browser. I've used it for the long time. While working with it I tried others but found that no one from them wasn't as suitable for me as FireFox.

First browser I remember using was Netscape Navigator which I never liked and found it liberating when I could break free from AOL and use IE.
I soon found Opera better but later discovered Phoenix/Firebird.
Actually when they changed the name to Firefox I was using Opera again and only noticed Firefox when I started getting involved with Ubuntu late 2005 because it was the default browser.
Incidentally I just checked Ubuntu is today exactly 10 years and 1 month old.

Back then I always preferred Opera as they always seemed to have more features that the others. I think they invented tabbed browsing, at least I was using it long before I noticed it on any other browser.

Out of laziness I just use Firefox now because it has all I want and there are some nice plugins that I find no where else.... and just as easy to install than any other browser.
Update: A deletion of features that work well and ain't broke but are deemed outdated in order to add things that are up to date and broken.
Compatibility: A word soon to be deleted from our dictionaries as it is outdated.

I honestly can't even remember what the first Internet browser I used outside of Internet Explorer was. Anymore I use both Google Chrome and FireFox. I've found that some sites work better in different browsers. It sounds strange but it's like the browser doesn't support something in the website. I know that one company I work for tells us that we have to use FireFox is that's the only browser that they support. Has anyone else found this to be true for them as well?

They use different rendering engines, they do it differently. Mainly when it comes to font rendering, especially it's the case with smaller font sizes.
