I am using open source in Windows 8.1.2 to support old DOS games. The Emulator works extremely well and is very stable. As frontend for DOSBox I use open source , here the .NET version.

    Haven't tried "em-dosbox" yet.

Was Frogger the game where the Frog tried to hop across the road before being run over?

I think you are right and having survived that it had to cross an alligator infested stream IIRC.

Favourites I remember are Jazz Jackrabbit, Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Rise of the Triads and Wolfenstein.

Before that was PONG (as in Ping Pong) & Packman, I remember playing them on a Commodore 64 that I was given as a sample to test for import, from my father in-law, around 1982ish.

Surely they would have been available for PC as well.

    Pong

    Packman

I think this may have been the first IBM PC game that I really got into.

Pre-PC there's more than I care to admit.
