I have a generic chinese GPS I-modo g-700, when turn on the device appear a word "Mediatek" like a splash screen, it is possible change this with a picture?

I tried everything, I put it in the root of the sd "logo.bmp" and "912s.img", and nothing, I tried one "logo912s.bmp" file and also nothing, gave format Fat 16 and 32 and nothing ... Mediatek logo still appears, I would like to put the picture of my car ... anyone who can help me?

What you see is the Kernel Boot Logo, not a splash screen. The Kernel Boot Logo can not be changed. Except you write and compile your own kernel and then re-flash the unit.
