    I find between 7 and 12 is my optimum number to consume for high functionality, more or less not pretty. accidentally smashed a carby last night after more. will try to refine the process.

    put it all back together, no spark, new plug, cleaned all elecrical stuff with emery paper?? no spark. HELP. nearly put the youngfellas shoulder out

    Yanking too hard can do that.

    Coil and points? You know where to look, point gap, magneto gap, spark plug lead.

    Make sure the shut off wire isnt grounded...thats how you stop the spark.....

    "the keystart mower was stuffed motor full of water and rust. pulled apart,cleaned, made gaskets out of vb carton. put it back to gether. the bloody thing started first pull. now i need a battery. to be honest i am quietly proud of myself. thanks for all youse help"

    I have 12 of the bloody things about 4 work. Started working on them about 2 weeks ago. i am enjoying it and my missus likes me out the back of a night.

    one of the first ones i built, got to work, left at my mates place for a few weeks, went to do his lawn today. took all my tools aerostart the lot, i think the tools and aerostart scared it into starting, turned fuel on, waited, two pumps, started first pull ran awesome for 2 hours, then i turned the fuel off, to be honest with you, i dont have anyone to gloat to, i am quietly impressed with myself. bet the bloody thing wont start next time.

    This i my project i really want to get going 550 series 80 mk2, rebuilt motor, has compression, no muffler, no spark, think i left a washer out of the starter( due to wear) dont know how the carby goes together ummm,
