Default How to install Igo8 to Eonon E1025

    Hi Guru's
I have a Eonon E1025 and want to change the mapping software from PolNav to Igo8
Any help to accomplish this would be appreciated

when i go into nav-path and set the path to sdmmc\navigator\navigator.exe it hangs on the "GPS loading software" screen then drops back to "set the nav path" screen
Should I modify the shell.ini to also reflect this new path

    Thanks Ken

Have you installed iGO on the SD-card in path <sdcard>\navigator and iGO8's executable (i.e. iGO.exe) renamed to "navigator.exe"?

Principle is you are looking the "original" navigation unit's SD-card and searching on this for a .exe file, for example "navigator.exe" and/or "mobilenavigator.exe", etc.pp.
Your device by default always looks for this exe. If you just want to run iGO, ergo you need to rename the igo.exe installation folder and executable according to. The rest is only setting thing in iGO.

On the "original" navigation unit's SD-card (which houses PolNav - an absolute legal copy compared to any iGO version you will find, those all are prirated versions of it) you will find two very small files named 1.YFAUTORUN.INF & 2.autorun.inf. Copy and paste these two onto the SD-card you have iGO copied onto. Power off the EONON unit, fit SD-card and power on.

you might not have the license file that matched the ig8.exe file also. Confirm that you have a folder named "License" on your SD card that contains a .lic and or a .lyc file

All versions of iGO8.3 and Primo work under WinCE 5.0 there is no specific version required.

    Cheers, Ian
