The image you provided shows the error message was produced by Windows 8.x

How the heck can you see this if you can't even boot into Windows 8 located on USB-stick, as you repeatedly said here? Do you fool us?

BTW: The equivalent error screen in Windows 10 (TP) would show a message like

"You can't start Technical Preview, Error Code: 0xc0000225" and tell you about a missing file (winload.efi)

So the copy of Windows 8 you want to get running is corrupted. My advice: Use this one:

As you can read in Microsoft's documentation:
An x64-based Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) computer can boot only by using x64 Windows boot files.
This makes sense if you recall that Windows 8 originally was only supposed to be available in 64bit and 128bit.

    Remember:

Also told you this fact in your first "tablet/install" thread:

On UEFI systems is necessarily a 64-bit Windows 8/8.1/10 ISO installation file required. 32-bit systems there are not booting.
So to put it mildly, x86 Windows is not designed to boot in UEFI mode... Install a 64bit version of Windows 8.

    Resume:
Most computers with UEFI mainboard will not recognize the USB drive or a DVD/CD/BD as a bootable device if it has the x86 version of Windows OS on it. Most computers will attempt to boot but then fail with a message about winload.efi being corrupt.

Even trying to replace <USB>\EFI\Boot\bootx64.efi by <USB>\EFI\Boot\bootia32.efi probably won't work: have never tested this because there for me was no need for.

It's on you to waste more time in this ... I wouldn't.

Would have been great you would have reported this in your 1st post here, then it had me saved a lot of mental work - and typing time, in order to try helping you.

Remember, that's was your initial post:

And worst, you've never (immediately) corrected my "wrong" guess 'it is a 64-bit system'. You let me believe in the long run of 25 posts here that it's a 64-bit system. I can only say: what you've done, that was a mess beyond compare! That's no way one treats his friends!

seems its a 32 bit tablet, hence needs 32 bit win 8, or anything for that matter
so, mbr under uefi with 32 win 8 on rufus
    or gpt i take it

    thanks to Joey

Since I opened this thread for the first time I was wondering why you asked for help. Always thought "Nelson Bay Computers & Website Design" have the specialists , especially the guys 'Phil' and/or 'Brendon', because "Nelson Bay Computers & Website Design" stands for

    1. Specializing in Custom Built New Computers
    2. Computer Repairs
    3. Repairs and Upgrades
    4. Virus Removal
    5. Low Cost Website Design
    6. Software Troubleshooting

as one can read on their website.

    MPOV:

Probably nobody except you needs a newly written guide to put Windows 8.1 (incl. Update 1) on an USB-stick in order to have a clean Windows 8.1 installation media. And, nobody except you must use any third-party tools to achieve this: Microsoft provide the tool you need, it is named "Media Creation Tool".

    ANYWAYS:

With "Media Creation Tool" from Microsoft, you create a Windows-8.1-ISO in a few short steps. This small application only must be downloaded and started. Then, Microsoft knock off some parameters, to obtain the ISO. The first point is the question of the desired language, then select the edition of Windows 8.1 (standard, Pro, N) and the architecture, so 32 or 64 bit version. That's it then also. Afterwards you decide whether you want to install directly to the USB flash drive or need an ISO.

Now wait while the tool downloads the Windows 8.1 installation file. The amount of time it takes will vary depending on your internet speed.

    BTW:
For the purpose of installing Windows 8.1 you use one of the following product keys:

    1. Windows 8.1 Core: 334NH-RXG76-64THK-C7CKG-D3VPT
    2. Windows 8.1 Pro: GCRJD-8NW9H-F2CDX-CCM8D-9D6T9
    3. Windows 8.1 Enterprise: HMCNV-VVBFX-7HMBH-CTY9B-B4FXY

Important note: These keys can NOT be used for activation.

Really can't understand why you pointed out that "Acivators" for Windows exist and will work.

Activating Windows 8.1 via a so-called Activator - as you find it in the WEB, yes, most of them include a virus or Trojan program to steal user’s data - due to the lack of a valid Windows 8.1 product key is a criminal act. May well be that some AUSTECH members still your tip follow.

Fair enough, I guess you could always make money getting rid of the nag screens.
The cost of Windows these days you'd think more people would start paying for it.
