scientific atlanta boxes work fine.....
Out of curiosity, which boxes are best for watching PVU channels on?

What about VU+ Duo 2? Or Openbox?

Thanks. I've worked out how to build a very nice table with what I've got.

heads up to those with srt4930. The 179p firmware seems to have fixed the issues with some packages , for me at least.

is this the 4930 or the 4930L??
Can't seem to find this one anywhere.heads up to those with srt4930. The 179p firmware seems to have fixed the issues with some packages , for me at least.
Sat Universe only goes to 178p at the moment.
Could you suggest a place to look, or provide a link?
Thanks.

efab it's not for the 4930l but doing a google search with "srt4930l powervu" , the very first result takes you to a link with a firmware supposedly powervu ready. I cannot verify if this firm works or not sorry.

SRT4930 + 179p = magic!

anything I have found for the 4930L is NOT PV compatible unfortunately
SRT4922A works fine with 191p.
There are a total of 200 slots available - some of which are pre-entered with frequencies/keys for a number of different systems..... 24 of them are pre-entered Powervu, mostly for Ku frequencies, but each slot can be edited for encryption system, frequency, and relevant key.does it have the oz viewable sats or do we have to stuff around
Don't know about having to stuff around....all you need to do is select one of the existing PV entries, change the frequency to that which want to watch, and enter the appropriate PV key.
So far I have found only one useable key for AS7, and four for IS19.
Haven't bothered looking for any Ku stuff yet.
The 191p software appears to be quite stable, and the stb is functioning normally.
The only noticeable difference is an indication of the encryption type along the top of the OSD "Info" bar.
The 191p software is shown as being suitable for the SRT4920, 4922, and 4922A.

Anyone knows if there is Powervu firmware for Strong SRT 4910?
Location: Sunny Perth
3 powervu channels have appeared on intelsat 8 169.0°E . Solar 1-2 and 3. c-band 3988 h 8546
I thought this satellite would have run out of puff by now.
The link that was given above points to a firmware file SRT4930L_V142_20150820. I have installed this in a 4930L, but the remote sequence 8282 does not appear to enable key entry.
I also have another firmware file for the SRT4930L, SRT4930L_P_R102_20151028, which is 1.2MB larger in file size (59.9MB), however I have not tried this, so cannot confirm that it will work.
Mr Google has pointed me to that file.
