I wouldn't recommend Exetel as a provider period.
It can only be accessed via telstra where I am , but it is extremely painful to use as it drops to a crawl all weekend and after school hours.
Stream a movie at 4.30 pm ? Not a hope.
Obviously Telstra lines are a little less clogged but as a small p2p downloader would I get penalised by Telstra.
I will have a mate setup secure VPN or Proxy to hide my identity ( he knows the go ) but is the $10.00 extra per month Telstra option worth it?
If you were getting a new connection and had both options, What would you choose?

I've been a reseller for Exetel for years, but I reckon it's being driven into the ground and probably won't be around in a few years time.

My only other options because of financial circumstances are Logitel , Voipex , Escapenet , NuSkope , Mynetfone.
Who would be the better of the worse?
Any recommendations?

I'm with Exetel via Optus, who in turn, lease the PSTN line from Telstra. It's a margins game, this obviously being the most economical arrangement for Exetel.
I've been with them about 5 years. The only problem was some months ago, when Telstra had some major failure at the exchange, which affected many services in our area for about 2 weeks. No fault of Exetel. Apart from that, it's been very reliable and no issues with ADSL performance.
Joe.
My exetel Working Fine..
I have used Exetel for years and have never had a problem with speed, reliability or quality of service.
My internet usage is large at around 240 GB per month.
