ive had it 3 times this year. first time was after a flu shot then a couple more a month apart. third one was a bitch to get rid of , so many pills popped .
i think it depends on which strain you catch , not sure

There is a NON Flu running about at the moment if the Doctor we saw on Monday afternoon is to be believed.
During my visit to the doctor after the Diabetic clinic, my wife told him she felt very physically tired for the last couple of days and felt like she'd had little sleep etc, he asked her a few relevant questions to which he said he had the same symptoms and when at home the day before, he'd laid down on the lounge and went to sleep for a few hours.
He said it was a 'Form of Flu' a 'New' version of a previous one but with nothing to do but do the usual things like Lemon Drinks etc but not to over dose on Paracetamols (propitiatory products) and let nature take its course.
ps, I aint got it..................
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
Funny enough I always get the flu when it is an Olympic year. So far just a sore throat and cough due to working in the rain when it was cold a few weeks ago.
It's a non Olympic year so I should be in the clear but I do have a trip to the snow in 2 weeks and knowing my luck there is still time.
i still got it
starting to cough up some yellow shit so infection? or body withdrawals from no beer & smokes lol
i sleep most of the day in the sun
worst when i lie down, problematic for me
off the codine, no poo poo for 5 days !

It's done the rounds here too, this 'non-flu' thing. Sore throat, headache, congestion etc etc but very little fever IE most of the misery without the heat. Lasted about a week with me before I shook it off.
I used to come home to Darwin with the Flu every time I had holidays "down south". Since moving "south" I've rarely had anything approaching the bugs I got when returning to the Top End. Go figure.....
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
I havent had the flu since sticking to getting the flu vaccine every year. Many people try it once, get the sniffles and don't have it again. You need to stick to it.
I occasionally get the cold sniffles, but thats not the flu. Sounds like you have got it though Phil
