If you've upgraded to Windows 10 then during the upgrade process Windows Setup might have removed these apps due to incompatibility.
Some time ago I had some programs to convert video formats and 'stitch' files together to run as a whole but I cannot find them anywhere on the computer.
Its many months since I can remember even seeing them and even longer since I used one.
Obviously I am not into this because of my lack of usage of those I had but where did they go and what is currently available others have found to be straight forward, cheap and easy to use please?

I've had joy with Video joiner/splitter proggys.
Thanks Jimbo, I just had a look at Boilsoft but I dont want to pay $30 to burn one DVD which is all I want it for.

I have DVDSytyler in use, an open-source hence free-of-charge program. Latest version dates 2015-08-02. Available both as 32-bit and as 64-bit version.
I evaluated a number of DVD creation suites in the past and decided on the open source DVDStyler. I like DVDStyler because it's extremely spartan in its user interface but extremely capable.
Works perfectly in Windows 10.

Phil, Thanks for that but now comes the question, one is a Joiner, one is a cutter so which can take an MP4 file and convert (if needed) and burn it to a DVD for playback on any player?
The (single) file is only 1.2 GB so it should fit with space to spare on a DVD.

Good. I'm glad that you succeeded at last.
That's often the case. Success without knowing specifically why.NOW, dont ask me how I did it as I havent got a clue but I did and played it back in a Blueray player so that means its a goer, yeeeeehhhh!!!!.....
Having succeeded once, all you have to do now is replicate your result.
Practice makes perfect!
Not only THAT but I took the risk and downloaded a program to convert files and changed it from MP4 to WMV/WMA for a Galaxy Tab as the file played the audio ok but the video was just a smeary mess.
This program is called 'Any Video Convertor' and has options to change files to suit various devises (Tablets & Mobile phones etc) because as I found, just because its 'for Android', there appears to be subtle differences between each manufacturer and that may mean it may work on one make, it may not on another brand.
It took over an hour to convert the 1.9GB MP4 over to WMV/WMA but I had nothing better to do anyway............
So now have it on a mini SD card in the Galaxy, in the files of the computer and on a DVD.

Thanks again Phil, I have downloaded it for future use but yesterday I was looking for an empty CD case for an idea I wanted to use the cover for and as I ratted through the debris, I found a slimline one to try out and when I opened it, there was a blank CD sitting there and it made me think how long ago had I bought it and others and when did I last burn a CD let along this last DVD and I cant remember when I did..........
