Default Recovering .dbf files without .dmp files

I have a problem to recover .dbf files from one server (which already crashed) to another server. We don't have any .dmp files. We only have the .dbf and .ctl plus all files in the /oracle/admin folder.

More info needed. What is the program that you are using? If they follow the original .dbf format, then the files are just a text file with a header giving you the structure of the file. any modern database program should be able to import them. What do you need to achieve?
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...

I was tempted to run this one past our Oracle DBA... but it seems to be another copy/paste of someone else's support question:

Is this a new form of spam? Getting the post count up so they can start new topics?

Thanks shred, seems we have some time wasters. Hmm, 2 new posters in 2 days same day with copy/paste word for word questions, what are the chances of that??

That article was first published June 2006.

I'm not very tolerant of time-wasters.

Boots are polished and ready if these persist.

Looks like the OP did a "post and run". They haven't returned to the forum since posting.

Its web site promotion. First the spammer copies and pastes a question. A little later, under another new id, he posts a link to a web site purportedly providing the solution.

Sounds like a job for a Super Moderator or Admin.
