As a 'Heads UP' regarding speed cameras, anyone traveling on the Great Western Highway between Mt Victoria and Hartley now have 'Speed Cameras' incorporated into the Heavy Trucks 'Point to Point' cameras located at the top and bottom of Victoria Pass.
As far as I am aware, the 'Point to Point Cameras are still for Heavy vehicles only but that could change anytime as no notice was given of installing speed cameras in with the 'Point to Point' system until drivers were notified of 'speeding' past the locations but no fines or penalties were recorded against the vehicle.

OT, but I was through those points last week that you mentioned Gordon and apart from speed cameras, there were 'average' speed cameras operating for all vehicles.

MTV, those 'P to P' camera's have been there for some time BUT no one knew that they had incorporated 'Speed Camera's' as well.
This became known only when those who received notices advising them their speed had been checked and they in turn advised the local Newspaper who after contacting the Traffic authority were told it was correct.
From what I gathered from the article it hasnt been previous practice to incorporate 'Speed Cameras' with 'P to P' as they have been strictly limited to heavy Vehicles only however that may be done in future so even if you plan to turn off and not pass the next 'P to P', now if you speed past it, you can be fined.

I think most have been expecting that it was only a matter of time before these 'P to P' cameras to include all types of motor vehicles instead of just Heavy Trucks.

Every vehicle photographed including driver. Just a matter of time before camera's are used for cars.
