Default How do I reset foxtel digital to factory settings

    Hi All,

Just wanted to reset my foxtel digital box so that all memory is lost, and it acts as if it were a brand new box.

    Thanks in advance,

    Muzz

I guess you could force a firmware download to your box. The keypress sequence is different for each box, so if you're interested in doing this post back the model you have. This WILL NOT reset your card or change anything on it, it will just reload all the box software and default all the settings.

I don't understand.. what is it doing/not doing now that, supposedly after 'resetting', it will do/not do?

MuZZ - if you're hoping that by resetting the box it will 'forget' any ppv purchaces you may have attempted to make (with say 9v battery mod) it WILL not work! This info is stored on the card, and resetting the box won't change anything. Really unless there is some functional problem with the box, i don't see the need in reloading the firmware.

But if you're still keen on doing it, try this. I can't remember if it was for your box, but i had it in a text file on my comp. Don't know if it still works.

    ---
    Push BACK and SELECT together

When all the lights come on -

hold the STANDBY button until the MESSAGE light stays on -

then Press UP, DOWN, then STANDBY

You need to be pretty quick on the buttons

Comes up on the screen that its downloading - takes about 4/5 minutes.

    Good luck!
