    Default DMM drop DM7000 support

Well those cheeky buggers in Germany have completely dropped any kind of support for thier first born.

Even the flogged and cloned DM500+ is still on there
Not that i expect them to keep writing firmware for it, but it would not of been hard to leave it for reference purposes. As there is plenty of the old DM7000 units with thier deaf tuners in operation.

You do know the un-cloned (or in limited amounts) 500+ is a totally different box from the 500 by miles. One is an E1 CDK box the other is an E1 OE box. One uses .img files the other .nfi (like the 600,7020) for their flash files.

    etc etc ..

ROFL...I tried to warn you that it was a pile of junk now.

Oh well...lucky I got rid of my obsolete DM7000 box to a poor unsuspecting ebayer.

    Pheww...that was close...

Wow what a legand you are.

Have you worked how to make that Octagon 918 play MP3 files from an Internal HDD yet?
Or make it stream TV wirelessly via it's web interface
Or play .ISO and .VOB DVD files
Or act as a stand alone server etc etc etc

One step forward, two steps back some might say

I agree they are getting old, but for $170 second hand, i'm all ears for you to point out a better more capable Sat box.
If you can show me a box that does all the DM7xxx can to with HD and HDMI i'll be more than happy to toss the 7000.

Yep.... there loss is the right persons gain

And testerment to how "pile of junk" they are, as when someone on here sells one, at least 8 to 10 people are putting in bids, z80 included.
A lot of people happy to buy junk it seems

I wonder what the hard working Pli team think of the old DM7000

    *yawn* there's also D1.

and...if you saw regular channels on a decent set top you would toss the 7000 across the room and out the window.
