Default is my internal reader faulty

my dm500s clone works perfectly when using the card reader out the back , but when i put a card in the internal reader i cant even get the card info details in the softcam menu ,does this mean the reader is kaput or is it maybe just a software or setting issue , cccam 2.000. I have tried using different softcams to no success .Has anyone else had this issue.

you can get rid of that b: line and try dropping freq down to 6mhz.

I reckon all should be working fine now

Have seen a mates clone dm500 with an nds card in the internal slot overclocked at 7.8mhz, working fine with cccam. The box does heat up though. At the moment his got the top off it and it runs alot cooler, but still warmish to touch.

7.8 is actually at 3.xx mhz and I suspect the card clock doubles it internally....card eventually burns out...

if cccam configs are anything similar to newcs ones in the way the card readers are identified, then only the serial port is setup to read a card

shouldnt one of the reader lines be sci0 or sci1 instead of both ttds0?

i dont know cccam at all, but in newcs looking at whats posted above, thats what id say was stopping the internal reader from working

If you care to run CCcam -d from shell, with anything over 5.5mhz you will see an error in the CCcam output, on any DM500 clone or otherwise, so although it works at 7.8mhz as Z80 said, CCcam is really running at 3.xxmhz - go check it out.

To the OP - go dload and install scam 3.29 and see if it reads the card. If it does you are quids in, if not oh dear dead reader. When set up put the card in and up should pop a message about your card being inserted.

Don't mean to hijack your thread ajax, but a mate of mine is having the same problem with his new dm500.

I logged into the box for him just then and setup scam3.29. He gets no card insert message when he tries his bluey, or a delta card, or his old galaxy card. CCcam and NewCS can't see any of them either.

The box tunes to TVSN fine, and seems to behave in every other way.

Any suggestions apart from a pheonix?

I found to to test the internal slot, Scam 2.39 or pre 3X for Aurora/ird1.
    CCcam 2.09 for NDS.
Definetly have to have the right cam and edition number for the correct services to work.

i put scam3,29 in and still no luck , i am going to do a full factory reboot and use the same image again but leave everything pretty stock ,load scam and see how it goes from there , maybe i have changed a setting thats affecting the reader ,quite possible with the amount of playing around i have been doing of late, its all good though at least my card reader works perfect in it

Scam 3.29 will not work with the internal reader ,but great with softcam keys.
Earlier versions before 3x should work for ird 1
