    Default dm800 H-H motor problems

I recently got a dm800 hd receiver. I have a small dish which has a H-H motor. I previously used the same dish and motor with a strong box, and i could just set it to diseqc 1.2 and move the dish.

The dm800 hd however is not moving the dish. I have tried usals, i have tried diseqc 1.2. Nothing seems to move the dish.

I am using latest Gemini image.

A box as expensive as the dm800 is not able to move the H-H motor. Has anyone here had the same issue, or am i missing a trick?

If anyone has the H-H motor working with dm800 can you please post your configuration or setting details.

    G'Day Cobber,
I assume you have two F6 connectors on the rear, marked, LNB and IF.
If you are on the IF connection, you wont have motor control.

Thanks for the reply, but i am on lnb connector. It works fine to move my cband dish via a motek vbox. The problem is when i connect my small ku dish which has a H-H motor, it wont drive / move the H-H motor.

I hope you understand my issue now.

I do not use Gemini but the setting advanced tab, of diseqc 1.2 it works on all my move 3.2m dishes including a HH motek and at far better speeds than other DM boxes.

I suspect it is a setup issue there. As I use PLi Jade2 update, I can not be of much help other than that sorry. Although it you look at the DM800 wiki for this it might give you a few tips - wiki link in my sig below.

I am biased so beware of this (or so many think) yes as I said in my post about the latest release of Jade2 update, on the 31JAN09 from PLi.

looks like i need to move from gemini to pli, one last question.

with the latest gemini image i am using, it seems to take an enternity to auto scan or scan a full satellite. is this the same with other images?

is this something because of the dm800 or because of the image i am using?

my dm500 was 50 times faster than this. it takes around 20 mins to scan one full satellite.

It is the same in all images, due to no signal on the transponder being scanned, mostly on the C band. The difference being PLi give you notice of this in the release notes (smile).

make sure you dont have tp's that arent sending signal. Ive noticed as well that if your trying to tune a tp that isnt broadcasting it does try and try and try for quite awhile.

is there a spot where you can edit the transponder list for each satellite in dm800?
