    Default Panasonic TV fault

I gave up fixing TVs 6 years ago.
Problem is people still remember that I can do it, but I've long since packed away my manuals and service info.

Mate of mine has a Panasonic TX-29V2X. It's got a little tuner drawer at the bottom that pops out. Reminds me of the K9 .. LOL.
Anyway, it randomly starts hiccupping with the characteristic jagged raster on the screen.
I first looked at this set maybe 2 years ago and it's been more or less Ok since then. I think I soldered up a few dodgy looking joints back then.

Well, now it's doing it quite regularly. It *seems* to be a dry joint because if I give it a whack when it's doing its thing, it will come right.
If I don't do anything, it will just sit there hicupping. One other way of settling it down is to push the AV button on the remote. Then it comes right.

I seem to remember that one of these sets has an issue with sub-modules and the plate-through holes. I don't know if this is one of them.

For a TV that's 25 years old it has an excellent picture. It has not seen much use.

Done a mant Vertical IC's on these chasis but i looked in the book the reference to DJ was on the L790 on the E/W board
Check IC1213 and for dry soldered joints on E5, and pin 3 R1.
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all

Thanks B4L, I was just going to PM you but I thought this could be useful for others who might be stuck with the same problem.
