will check tmrw at the office, pretty sure i have the drivers
Early win98 based DVR originally supplied by Pacom.
I have a copy of the original software but no actual driver for the capture card. Anyone have it?
Hate to throw it out, only Mpeg2 but produces a decent picture.

I am sure Pacom will have them somewhere
no luck, Hanimex sold the same dvr back in the day, DAS reloaded the drivers for me on a unit 2-3 years ago.
Thanks, but don't want to pay Pacom for getting it fixed. The unit is only used as a temp install/emergency replacement.
For what they want to charge me for drivers will cover 1/2 the cost of a newer capture card.
i got it done for nothing. aren't they supposed to support their products for 10 years or something?? you need something like 2 driver files???
I used it for emergencys as well. I kind of liked the software real simple and self explanatory for the user.
Ask for Dario or Terry in the service department at Pacom. Both very helpful. I'm surprised they want to charge you for a couple of driver files that they can flick to you in an email.
I have a copy of my machine and drivers in Acronis.
If you have no luck i can gladly send you the drivers.
Cheers

Any Luck with those drivers?
Here's my problem! Same deal Win98 SE Running the IDIS X016 V3.2 (has a number = C12P2B300151 on the back)
Win98 Drivers installed are "IDIS SmartAudio 1.1 & IDIS SmartCap 2.4.1"
I'd dearly LOVE Windows XP Drivers ... The motherboard (Tyan Tsunami) has swollen caps and is getting very unreliable!
Any Ideas or Help ..
I know a guy that seem to acquire a lot of DM DVR's that they replace with something better.
PM me if you are interested. I will forward your details to him if he wants to sell any.

a BIG thanks to "Tazzz" .. the link does have ALL the files needed!
By going to the "Home / capture / CAPTURE 2008 / capture_pc_based / idr2000_series_winxp" section I found what I needed to get my OLD IDR 2016 upgraded from a Win98SE Pent 11 running @ 550Mhz with 64Mb RAM on the Tyan board to a ..
Windows XP SP3 System 512Mb ram and an AMD XP1800 Processor
The mother board I had laying around and was SUPRISED to find the ASUS A7M266 Motherboard FITS Perfectly with the IDR 2016's Back panel ..
LOL AWESOME
BUT even better I know now I can upgrade this system "infinitely" .... All I need to do is "dremel" the back panel to receive a standard PC's "Backing plate"

Hi
Also I have a IDR X016 V3.2 IDIS CO. LTD 00.09.29 (chip Conexant Fusion 878A 25858-13 E261973.1) card, do you have information on where to locate the driver for win98 or XP?, thank you very much.
David
Hi dooadavid,
I had the same issue with the IDR X016A V3.0 Drivers, this card is actually the USB - Serial PCI Card (FTDI Chip) that sits next to the IDR Capture card (For PTZ Control). For some reason the drivers don't install properly under Windows XP.
I managed to install the card manually by using IDR V6.05.027 from the avlogicsfileserver [dot] com site. After you install the IDR Software the IDR X016 Card driver files will be located under:
WINDOWS\system32\
WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS\
You'll need to find the ftdibus.sys, ftser2K.sys, serenum.sys, ftserui2.dll. Perform a manual install by searching on those locations (back and forth).
Once installed, the card will be seen in Device manager as a COM port called IDR X016 ...
Hi All, New to this so please bare with me. I am after the drivers and or software for these cards/ units too. I see a link to Avlogics but I cannot find the capture word that you mention. I know this thread is old but I'm hoping someone my check this and help me out.
Talk about trying to resurrect a 486 DX4-100...
