What image are you using on the 500 ????
Had a search but FISCstream doesn't show up anywhere, apologies if this has been posted before.
I've been going round in circles trying to get streaming from my DM500s to my Vista Pc's working reliably. Sometimes it works with VLC sometimes it doesn't, you know the drill....
Anyhow, after a few searches FISCstream 1.9 is the answer, works with me every time on all channels tested. Enter IP, Port P/W, etc and connect.
No idea if it will display HD, as I have no access to these channels.
Not my upload, but easily googled, if it stops working.
Give it a try it your having problems.

When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Nabilo 0.8 I do know others are perhaps tweaked better, as per the posts below, but happy with the image otherwise. It's a clone 500s, running N*s card and of course Newcamd for the rest of C1.
Oh, and I have been loitering for quite a while before I registered, haven't needed to post before, as the "search" button has answered all, and any queries I had.
Just thought the software may help someone else out
This is why many of us use PLi images as zapstream works to all boxes, Xp, Vista, Windows 7, Mac, Linux etc perfectly.
See the Pli wiki pages under Multimedia Applications;

I will give PLi a try at some point as it does look to be an excellent image, my only box at the moment is the Dm500, as the original F*x box is completely stuffed.
Can't get this replaced as it's not at the "correct" location, and we are traveling (caravan) for the foreseeable future. The handbrake will be most unamused if I accidentally kill the Dm500, and I do rather like my SciFi channel.
Will give PLi a try when I can, and I have my rs232 lead, back out of storage.
Thanks for the replies guys, I always keep a close eye on these forums, as it's a mine of information.
good luck with the travels ..
