now if you have a standard tomtom system patch the system file first then patch map

Folks,

I'm running TT7 (7.915 build 9196) on PDA (WM6) and it can't see this map.

I have managed to generate the .dct file but it stiil can't see it.

Maybe this map version is for PNA only.

Can anyone assist?

m8 it appeares that this map is for tomtom units only i am sure a map release for pda units is coming soon

I seem to think that it maybe out already because if you go to tomtom.com them buy map and select NAVIGATOR 7 as the product then HTC Touch Cruise II as the device and Australia map it shows there is a map available for this device.

I selected the HTC touch Criuse because it should be a generic PDA map

I guess that we will just have to wait a bit longer for someone to upload it.

Thanks puca i have the lasted map installed...I would love to know the guy who made this TomTom Keygen v2.1B he saved me so much work...

Hmm i cant seem to get this to install properly Current stats of my Tom Tom 720 are Navcore 8.320 (9901/081203) OS 244890
GPS V1.20 Boot 5.5120
Have tried the new keygen but doesnt seem to work , any ideas please??

Tis ok i fixed it , I went back and restored it and then went to TomTom site and it uploaded the App to 8.350 and the OS to 310360.
Once that was done i deleted everything out of the Australia folder and installed the new maps, Ran the keygen software and all ok ,

Yeah I'm a bit rusty too havn't put a new map on for a long time

Just try extracting the Keygen from the zip file again, after deleting the original extracted file,that's what I did and it worked.I think once you use it a few times it seems to stuff up.

Just as a side note.... if you notice the tomtom volume level is lower than previously, it's due to the 8.350 firmware, which tomtom claim:

"With the latest software update the volume on your device was lowered by 10% to improve the overall sound quality."

I now find it so low, it's difficult to hear... it's dropped closer to 50% IMO

I (and numerous others) have complained to tomtom about it.

Hopefully they'll fix it in subsequent firmware releases.
