TomTom Problemo

I just backed up my GO910 before attempting to upgrade to Navcore 8 from 7.

Since attempting the upgrade, my machine has rebooted and is now frozen on a black TomTom logo screen. It won't power off or allow for a hard reset.

My PC no longer recognises it via USB either.

The only thing that I think I can try is to wait for the battery to die then hope my PC picks it up via USB as I power it up again so that I can restore the backed up files.

Anyone been in this predicament before ?

If so, how did you fix it ?

Disregard my theory worked ... it's times like this that you realise the importance of backing up everything before playing

A tute on upgrading to v8 would be great
