    Default Tomtom truck Navcore 9.000.1637

If you ever wanted a good Navcore for the use with your truck or road train :
There is a new truck Navcore out which offers the features of the new version 9 Navcore systems and it can be used for cars bikes and pedestrians as well.

    PW: downunder

You can use it as normal Navcore for yor device as well - including ASR,IQ routes,TTS and all other nice features like Bluetooth and FM transmitter - all in the look of the new version 9 Navcores!

There are three different packs plus the ttsystem :
A Navcore optimized for the GO models ,
a Navcore optimized for the ONE models,
and the basicpack if just want to overwrite your existing Navcore (so that you don't need to install all the voices for example).

Untill we have a proper truck map the special features are mostly not working because in the normal maps are nor hight, weight or bridge restictions included.

You can use it for Truck ,Bus ,Taxi ,Van ,Car and pedestrian navigation.
It also supports bicicle routes and an option for limited speed.
Brand new status bar with direct switching between 2D/3D view - the satellite strengh meter is no longer "blocking" the stauts bar and can be found together with the status display on page 9 of the preferences.
All features of the recent Navcores like ALG,IQ,ASR,FM and Bluetooth are supported and working.
You now can turn off sound and voice guidance seperatly.
A nice new feature is ECO routes which should give you a fuel consumptin optimized route based on the IQ routes system (most likely only workin 100% with a map optimized for this Navcore).
You can use the current 835 maps and switch between the different vehicle modes at any time (the route will be recalculted to that profile) - but without a truck map the special truck features are not working.
The quick menu now offers the Jukebox,Mark map error,Navigate to spoken address,Navigate to postcode,Add position to Favorites and the FM transmitter.

There is the basicpack and special versions for the ONE and GO models available.
If you want to test it please make a proper backup first using Windows Explorer and make sure not to install the bootloader (system) especially on older models.

I prefer the X40 emulation as I have a few more menu options and it runs a bit smother.
Also when you check the safety cam options you'll find a lot more cams in there ,like resticted and toll road.

The Navcore is suitable for Trucks, Buses ,Taxis - you name it!
You can enter the weight ,height and other details of your truck -but without a supporting truck-map it can't be working at a 100%.

I don't know if your old map is a truck map as I don't know the old version numbers but currently this Navcore only works with full featured maps that include ALG and IQ routes and there is no new truck map available for download.
You can try it yourselft after makin a full backup using Windows Explorer.

    Hi All,

I am using this NavCore on GO720, with the latest maps.

Randomly, the screen shuts off, but the instructions can still be heard clearly.

Has anyone seen this happening on their systems?

If use Height you have to uninstall it as it can cause that problem on some devices.
In case you don't use Height : sorry no idea...

With my go720 at night I have noticed the screen will flash brightly for a split second about every 3 minutes, this will cause instructions to be cut of mid sentence and if you are on a phone call it will disconect from the gps.

Here some settings for the file version.txt in the config folder - maybe they help solving some problems :
TomTom GO, GO x00, GO x10, ONE 1st Edition, ONE 2nd Edition
    A:7903
    B:9183

    Rider
    A:7901
    B:9181

some ONE 30-Series, XL 30-Series, ONE XL, ONE 3rd Edition
    A:8010
    B:9369

    x20,x30,630
    A:8351
    B:9982

    x40
    A:8370
    B:336164

Further info inside the readmenot.txt in the root of your device.

    Can't find any readmenot.txt in my GO720.
There is no file version.txt in the config folder, so does that mean I should create one and put that text inside it? If so which text for the GO720?

    You're right !
It seems TTUSER forgot to put in this time.
Does not really matter , I just wrote all necessary infor in this
For the Go720 you should use
    A:8351
    B:9982

    in your version.txt.

Usually it should work fine without a version.txt ,but sometimes it can help to prevent some problems.

Sorry ... I'm just a user, on a daily basis. Is Height something significant?

Generally, I will use the 3D mode, but occasionally I will go to 2D.

I have plugged in the settings you listed, and I will give it a run tomorrow. Thanks

Is it normal for the version.txt to delete itself?

Hmmm ,never had that problem - but I would say if you don't have problems leave it withou the version.txt or try to copy the file into the root of the device .

Yeah, mine did the same, so I placed it in the root folder. So far so good.

you can find a fullbackup of my GO730 with the running V9 Navcore on it.
Maybe you have to delete the program Height on it because on some devices it causes the screen to turn off and you would need to restart the device.
To delete Height : Delete file "height.so" in directory "ttninit/wrapper" on your TomTom ,the file "ttn" in the root and the folder Height.
