Default DM 7020 si UCO error

MY DM was showing UCO error in the screen i have re-flashed it using original firmware through serial and then network cable
it starts to show boot with certain IP address and then LCD show at the bottom *STOP"
I first thought it is the Tuner but am not sure if it is only that, the problem is the Tuner that I have is ALPS bsbe1-701A 6613cb1g which is not commonly available

I have noticed that tuner gets really hot after powering the DM for some time
I checked the output voltage in the power supply

    Starting from Right
    pin 1: 25 vdc
    pin 2: 3 vdc
    pin 3: 3 vdc
    pin 8: 5.5 vdc
    pin 9: 7 v dc
    pin 10: 15 vdc
    pin 11: 30 vdc
    pin 12: 3.3 vdc
    pin 13: 9.4 vdc

As per power supply DATA sheet from Panasonic i should be getting 12 and 21 vdc in some of the pins which seems to be missing
BTW MY DM 7020 si is original not clone
Any help would be appreciated guys

The supply needs to be turned on to come out of standby.
Off the top of my head, pin one needs to be connected to pic 3 to wake it up?

Don't quote me on the pin numbers - if the smoke gets out it's your fault, not mine, OK?

Well am sure it is not on standby mode coz when you disconnect the power output leads from the main board you don't get any voltage on most of the pins
    anyway thanks for the reply

Correct. Thats becuase when the plug from the main board is removed it WILL be in standby

The main board tells the power supply to come out of standby.
The main board does need power to idle on standby however.
Thats why only some pins have output when the supply is disconnected
Check the hard drive connection with a multimeter for it's +5 & +12VDC & you will see what I'm saying. Thats how they turn the HDD off when it's in standby - By switching off the not required rails.

If you don't belive me, follow pin 3 on the supply back to the opto & draw out the circuit

just a small point - all the latest original DMM Enigma 1 OE (DM500+,600 & 7020) firmware now all have clone detectors in it as do many of the the 3rd party software providers - for what it is worth.

No jimbo I have not fixed the problem yet.
My tuner gets really hot as well as an IC next to it when the box power turned on, I bought a new tuner but i have not installed it yet. the reason is i don't believe it is only a tuner problem there is something else
I read what you have been answered on you similar Topic that
LNBP21 IC could be the reason, any advice on how can i test this chip and where can i get it

    Thanks mate.

it's the tuner, or the daughter board attached to it.

UCO says the firmware cant find any tuner installed.

Have fixed mine with same fault a year ago.

Also the LNBP21 has a driver chip alongside it that often fails.

bet you didn't earth your LNB like the manual says to

Yep...get him to change the daughter PCB.

and check his work....maybe he didn't do it quite right.

Do NOT fit a screw on the back plate to hold tuner in.

(even though a hole is drilled)

It's an IC2 bus error, so tuner isn't communicating.

Of course PSU could be stuffed by now as well.

It will need areflash after atuner fault.

    Put original DM image on.

Did he fit the correct tuner...the list goes on....

    bye....

I didn't have one at the time,.. but I now have a daughter board with a fresh tuner already mated up.

and check his work....maybe he didn't do it quite right.
Was very careful,.. think I did it right.

Do NOT fit a screw on the back plate to hold tuner in.

(even though a hole is drilled)
    I'll now remove it

    Been replaced.

It will need areflash after atuner fault.
    Now this I haven't done.

So are you saying that after a tuner fault is picked up,.. a re-flash is required before it ever clears it ?

    Put original DM image on.
Is this part really that important ? i.e. being the original and not something else,.. say PLI image ?

Did he fit the correct tuner...
Numbers on the sticker were identical.

    the list goes on....
Without comments from those that are in the know,.. its not that straight forward to sort out.

    Thanks for your comments.
