Default What's the extra coax on the IQ box?

    Hi Guys,
As thread title... I thught they might have had something on vertical now, and used a separate coax,
but the LNB has the same single coax for each decoder.

It's so you can watch and record on both H and V at the same time. A single coax can only be tuned to either H or V polarity at the one time.

So what's happening between the two coax cables from the wall and the single coax connected to the LNB for that decoder?

    G'Day Cobber,
If that is the case and Foxtel did the install, I would be complaining to them that the installation needed rectifying.
For the Correct setup you should have a 10700 twin/dual output LNB with two cables from LNB to wall outlet and two cables to the Box.
You could then simultaneously record two channels H or V, H and/or V as stated earlier.

you have 2 cables comming out of the wall but only One is connected to the IQ ?? where does the other one go, just dangling?

Just thought: there should be 3 cables, one from your FTA antenna and 2 from the LNB connected to the IQ. and a phone line ?

it reads like you have two decoders
and two cables from the lnb
my guess there is a multiswitch in there - then from that there is
two cables to the IQ's and one cable to the normal fox box

Only one decoder, but two Foxtel points in the house.
Maybe they just used both cables for the one point, and disabled the other one completely,
I just didn't think the installer crawled in the roof to route a new cable.
