    Default orange card in dreambox

    Hi all

This is the problem I am having. When I set up my DreamBox 500-C with the Optus card on the Optus network it works fine. I get all the channels I am subscribed to. However when I insert the Foxtel card (it has all the packages) nothing happens. The screen goes blank. Going by what I have read it looks like the Foxtel card should work in it. Also when you get the details on the card it reads the card and shows what type of card it is so I don’t think there would be a problem with the card it self.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

its you make it from the serial number on the bottom of the foxtel box. do some looking around here and you will find all the info you need.

    Default Understanding

ok so what i understand so far is you need the key that is the hex number generated from the number at the bottem of the foxtel box. now this number goes into the config file in the DB. now i am thinking this would be that key file that i found when i FTP in to the box. so basically i generate the code and edit the key file and then add the code into it. then insert the card after a reboot and it should work.

all you need is a decimal to hex converter - do a google search and you will find on-line versions. Then enter the hex serial no in the right format for the emu you are using. If you want to get the HD channels as well you will need to use SCAM (plus an HD receiver of course)
