Is this when the recently launched 'New Foxtel Satelitte' finally reaches its Orbit for all us lucky people???

Oh, and no High Definition unless you cough up a $100 administration fee plus the $5 a month HD access plus the $14.95 a month for the Mystar2 plus the February planned increases.

November WILL be a Month to Remember !!!

No coincidence there. Historically, on both Foxtel and Austar, price rises have always been preceded by a "repackage and relaunch" sweetener.

As always, when the price rise comes you can decide for yourself whether it's still worth it. If so then maintain your subscription with the new package and price. If not then avail yourself of the opportunity to cancel without penalty.

When they advise you of a price rise they're asking if they can change the contract. You can either grant their request or deny it, in which case they have the choice of either maintaining the previously contracted price or dissolving the agreement and letting you walk away. No clause forces you to accept price increases! They only have an "agreement" with you if you agree to it.

Any time a company sends you a "change of terms and conditions" booklet or email - whether a bank, telco or pay TV company - it's a request not a demand. If it stinks you can decline it. The last time an insurer tried to foist an unacceptable 'agreed value' on me I told them to shove it. "I've never agreed to that, so don't call it an agreed value!"

I have no problems with them announcing fee increases, just paying them is my problem.

No, my gripe is the underhanded announcement that there would be no charge for the Mystar2 then finding out about the $100 Administration Fee.
That and the announcements that this 'New Satelitte' would be 'placed in Orbit' this Saturday Night.

As our Mr (I hope to be PM) Beasley found out that a Fee/Tax/Levy are all the same and now I believe we can add Administration and Access to the ever growing list.
