Are you by any chance running a clone with hacked bootloaders? If so there is the problem!
Hi loaded a new image onto my DM800. Tried Nabilio V0.11 & Pli Jade (pli-enigma2-jade2-dm800-20090504-6357.nfi) with #72 second stage loader.
Both had no remote control access. I can access the web remote control to set-up box but obviously this is no real solution.
Why have I lost my remote control. I have tried the remote on another machine and the remote is fine.
Any suggestions please?

Thanks for your reply Jonc
Yes I have flashed a new #72 plus PLi Jade 2 to the box
Are you suggesting the bootloader is causing my problems?
OK still can't get the remote control to work on this box. Try different images rolling back as far as #60 bootloader. Everything seems to work except the remote. I am thinking there must be a file that is damaged that does not belong to the bootloader or the image. Any ideas?
or the remote control lead in the box has been disconnected or your RCU is not working. Get the camera on your mobile phone and point it at the front of the RCU and press a few buttons, if you no flashing the RCU is not working.

Haven't seen a 800 remote before but it isn't something as simple as that you've accidently pressed the TV button? If there's a STB button try pressing that to see if the remote springs back to action.
EDIT, just googled the image for a Dm800 remote and in your case you would need to press the Dream button

sounds like it could be a clone bootloader problem to me.
I don't think you should be flashing different versions of bootloaders to the box, only the one it was made with, or as an emeragancy last resort an earlier one.
I would suggest you have a look at the nabilosat forums search for posts by jams01 as he seems to know what is safe to do and has a number of images etc.
The best way is to set up a multiboot that way you can play with different images with some 'safety'.
Please explain to me if you know. Some images actually contain the bootloader right. So if I successfully loaded Pli Jade 2 to one of my DM800's then it should definetely work on a clone from the same company.
Now before unsuccessfully flashing a image with #75 bootloader, locking up my box until I found a dreamup version that contain the second stage and flashed my box successfully this way the remote worked.
Since unlocking and reflashing I have lost remote. I am starting to think it may be a hardward problem now. The current image works perfectly except for the remote. I am thinking maybe the remote pickup has just shit itself at the same time I reflahed.
I am getting the original gemini image today from the manufacture. Apparently this image also contains the bootloader within it. I suppose reflashing this is my last try.
Is there a particular file that controls the remote codes. Maybe this file is damaged. I am starting to give up here.
ruled out the image and bootloader been the problem. Manufacturer just sent it. I flashed the image to the box and still no remote. I am now thinking hardware.
so the box must be still under warranty if it was loader #75?

Hi Leroy,
Is a chinese warrentee worth anything really. They will replace it but you pay the freight. About AUD$200.00 to send back. Once replaced sure it can come with another delivery but that is still another at least $20.00.
So best case $220.00 to repair. Hardly worth it. It will have to wait until I'm back there again. Until then a loss.
OK my next step will be to swap the front panel with a working front panel. At least this will rule out the IR reciever.
