Default IS5 on a Ku band dish

So I have a 90cm currently, which has 3 KU band LNB's on it.

As a test, if I put a c-band LNB, in that same mount with a scalar ring on it, is this likely to work?

Or do I need to put a different mounting bracket on to get it to prime focus?

the dish as per my avatar.

    TIA

    G'Day Cobber,
looks a little peculiar for an offset, but I suppose it's just the camera angle.
No use trying to enlarge, lose detail.
I think it may be a little tricky to set up, but not impossible. You'll die wondering if you don't try it.
Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

Offset and prime focus dishes parabola are shaped entirely differently, so you need to set them up the way they were intended to be.

You may have some success with a prime focus LNB on an offset dish (mounted in an offset position). Some have had some success, so it's just a matter of experimenting to see what will and won't work with your dish/LNB combination, at your location.

It won't work as well as a proper C-band setup, but no harm in having a go.
