Default DiSEqC and 22k tone switch setup

I am currently using a Humax 5410z decoder which allows for a maximum of 8 satellites dish lnb antennas, using a combination of 22k and diseqc switches.

My current dish setup is configured like the following.

The cheapest way to add additional satellites to my configuration would be to purchase another 4 way diseqc switch and run the 2 Diseqc switches through a single 22k tone switch to get the extra satellites. Just wondering if this will work?

Or will I need to go the more expensive route and purchase additional 22k switches like the following setup?

Can't see why this won't work. Your best option methinks.
Would require all port pass switches for H & V Polarity.

tone burst and 22khz are 2 different types of switching

If you used tonebust you can use universal lnbs, if you use 22khz you will not have all the bands available to you

This is the 22k switch I have used. I hope this makes things a lot clearer

Thanks for that. So Im just using a basic 22k switch. This means I should not connect any Universal LNBS. If so then they will not be able to switch between LO 10.7-11.8 and high 11.6 - 12.7 GHz band. Only get stuck on LO band.

yes correct, the result would depend on what port you put the universal lnb on

So if I put the 22k Switch first and then put all the universal LNBS on diseqc connected to the OFF port on the 22k switch then they should be ok to run in both high and low band? Its just the 22k ON side that will cause problems with universal LNBs using this switch

nah, a universal lnb uses 22khz to swtich between high and low band

if you used a tone burst switch before your disecq then it would work no problems

I always thought a tone burst switch was a 22 khz switch.

Anyone care to explain to me what ive misunderstood?

Edit; Ok google showed me my confusion.
