60mm from memory, i bolted mine back then to my patio, not on the roof
Hey All,
I'm moving house over the summer break and looking to set the new house up with the toroidal dish i've had sitting around unused for months. The problem at the current place is that it doesn't fit the pole on the roof and i haven't bothered to change it as we're moving anyway.
Is there anyone here with a Toroidal dish on a tin roof mount? What model mount have you used? My current one is fine for other dishes but too narrow to hold the Toroidal firmly. It's probably only 50 or 60mm.
Anyone got one that they can recommend?

I used a std hills flexi tin mount with a sleeve welded over the vertical uprightwith the right size for the toroidal.

I have seen a Toroidal on what I took to be a standard Tiled roof Gutter mount..
It was just seen from the street so I cant tell the mast diameter
The T90 mounting diameter is 60mm.
The pole goes inside the dish mounting bracket, not clamped to it like most Ku dishes, so you either need the correct diameter pole, or adapt someting to fit to 60mm.
I'd recommend using the correct diameter pole, as it will be stonger than adapting a standard 40-50mm pole.
Downsizing from a larger pole to 60mm would be fine though.
The Toroidal dish with all its panels is a lot heavier & more awkward than a normal Sat dish,
I would recommend a very stable, & perfectly vertical mounted Pole. (60mm)

Hmm. I'm not exactly handy with the welder so this may end up being a bit a challenge.
Anyone know what a handyman might charge to mod a standard tin mount to a 60mm pole. Better yet, anyone know a handyman in Melbourne who might be up for the job?
