Anyone here know where I can get a right hand back light strip for a JVC LT-50N551A?

    Thanks.

I love a challenge. Considering I rarely go near a LCD anything this would me my approach.

JVC really is not a real brand these days AFAIK for TVs so it's a chinese rebadge Job, finding parts on the model number which is likely to be unique to Australia, good luck with that.

There is a parts recycler in Sydney so I had a quick search there to see what he's stripped. Nothing useful but spotted the mainboard and a white sticker.

On this white sticker a whole bunch of numbers, but one sequence caught my attention. V500HJ3-PE1, could indicate what panel this board is matched too??

Search V500HJ3-PE1 and we find CHIMEI INNOLUX V500HJ3-PE1 panel.

Now we're getting somewhere. You my now start looking for the strips based on a panel number and / or TV models as you'll find there could be any number of Brands or Models fitted with that panel.

Most likely offshore but hope it gets you going.

Of course you nedd to identify the panel this has but run with searching whateverthat may be

here's one to get started. Probably won't like the cost. Click on the image and read the note.

    RCA LED50B45RQ

    Samsung UN50EH5000FXZA

    Good luck.

Also see if this part number is on the strips.
    C-KJAB50D507

may expand the search field as I just found additional panel numbers with that fitted. And some of these are selling sets, some are just one strip.

tw2005, thanks for the help. I found a dozen or so TVs with that same mainboard, but none of them ended up having the same LED strips.
In the end I stole an LED from an old 19" monitor I had sitting in the cupboard, and soldered it onto the strip, TV is back up and running now.

Cheap way out. how did the illumination match up? Any obvious spots?

Did you inspect the strips and look for that part number? It's always nice to validate the information or correct it, kinda helps the next guy with the same issue.

The LED I replaced is in the second row, second from the right, you can see it's a little bit duller in the picture, can't notice any difference with the panel assembled.

There were 3 different lots of numbers on the strips, none of them showed up on a Google search.
