Default LG TV firmware update software.

    Hi

Anyone know where I can download the firmware update software for LG LCD firmware.

I have a .BIN format file for the set but not the software to apply it via a null modem cable.

The file I have is a .BIN file not a .EPK file which can be used via the USB port.

Worked brilliantly. It ignored the stick but the other method worked perfectly and it updated off the stick. Thank you very much .

I tried a number of sticks too. Both FAT and FAT32. The one I used for the update was a 512mb as i figure it might like that better than larger ones.

Hi, I have an LG 42SL8000 LCD TV and I'm looking for some firmware update because I get the error message "Audio format not supported" when I try to play some .mkv files. I don't know what the audio codec in the mkv container is, but I can try to find out if this is needed.

    Thank you.

Hi mate.I checked on these late models for someone else last week .
Its a bit to soon yet.
May pay to ring LG and let them know about the problem so that the factory does something.

Default LG TV LH30 Firmware Problem

    Hi
I downgraded the firmware of my LG TV LH30 to v3.15 and now it doesn't work anymore. I shut down and now it is like in hybernation mode. I tried everything, remote, tv control, switch off-on and nothing worked. What can I do?

    Default Lg 47ls600

    Hi guys.

I have a LG 47LS4600 and I want to update my firmware. I have downloaded the newest firmware and followed their instructions, but my TV doesn't want to update...

Will this solve my TV not showing tru motion?

    Any clues?

I have tried 2 USB's devices, a USB stick and my digital camera. I can access the contents on both the memory sticks, but the auto update function doesn't pop up...

32LG30D firmware? I know it's old but does anyone have it gathering dust somewhere?
LG Australia don't want to know about it & where no help at all. Told me "no longer supported"
I really tried to sweet talk the firmware out of them but they were immune to my charms!.... I almost tried a bribe.

The TV just went crazy & it changed everything all by itself (it aint the same TV anymore)
It's either downgraded its firmware all by itself or it has developed "free will" ... Probably caused by watching too many Terminator movies I think!
We want to use it for the kids game consoles

svenni, if your inputs show colour from Sat.Receiver, but don't from PS/Nintendo, you have to check the colour system settings (NTSC, PAL, SECAM, Auto) in your TV to match the ones in your video source. Normally, this setting in TV is set to Auto, but sometimes it gets the system recognition wrong, in which case you will see B/W pic only. Try forcing this setting into different combinations (NTSC/PAL @ Progressive/Interlaced @ Composite/Component) and see if you can find one that works.
