    GG,
    Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier about the loading.bmp, but Bazzle had it nailed - as always
    Now to sort out your speed display....
    This display is dependent on which skin you are running. Check in settings / Display Options and see which skins are there if you haven't specifically set any up... You need to restart after choosing a skin. Skins are available at igo8mods.com.
    If the speed display is only there when you are not navigating, then it is probably displaying as a "data field". You need to find the settings for "Data Fields" (map settings IIRC), and there you will see the option for up to 4 items to display, and this is repeated for when you are navigating to a destination, and when you are not. Once you select what you want to see (eg compass, time, speed, speed limit, time to destination etc), then return to your main cockpit screen.
    Now, if you have chosen 4 items and only one is displayed, try pressing on that item and the block of 4 should appear. Pressing any one of these will drop it back to only showing one item, and it will be the item that you pressed.
    If this doesn't help, (and you can tell which skin you are running) I'll have a play about with mine and let you know the definitive answer wrt speed display.

    cheers,
    ..Neil

    Default 800x480 data.zip

    A bit too late as all links are dead. Could someone (especially thanks to NS, laogia and kuku for being active leaders) pls upload 800x480 data.zip? Thanks in advanced.

    Hi Bazzle and all,
    Two questions:
    1. How difficult is it to modify a data.zip for Primo 1.2 for a 400x234 resolution? I have not found any of this res yet (400x240 would be close enough). I took a 320x240 and unzipped it, changed every reference I could find to "400x234", and packed it back up. Now Primo will start for me (rather than crashing in first 2 seconds), but of course only 320 pixels are used across the screen and a blank bit is on the right. Leads me to second question:
    2. When I am at the opening menu screen and press on the map on the LHS, expecting to open the map/cockpit view, a box comes up saying:
    "Failed to open file map_housenumber_bg@160x28.bmp". Now I can't find a reference to this file anywhere so I am at a loss as to how to fix it.
    Any pointers??

    Edit: I have answered my own question 2 - there are a raft of mis-spelled "housenumber" files in the 320x240 file within data.zip. They are spelled "hosenumber...". Correct them and away we go!
    Still wondering if there is either a ready-made data.zip for my resolution, or a definitive "how-to" guide for DIY..

    cheers,
    ..Neil

    Hello all at Austech.

    If you want maps try the below link. They seem to have it all for Igo8, Primo and Amigo.

    I hope this helps.

    G'day.

    I downloaded Bazzle's 1.2 backup from the other thread. Installed on my Aldi Go Cruise S350 (Wince 6). It crashes without loading.

    I simplified the sys.txt down to

    [device]
    type="motorcycle"

    [gps]
    port="7"
    baud="4800"

    [interface]
    show_exit=1
    resolution_dir="320_240"
    vga=0

    [rawdisplay]
    highres=0
    screen_x=800
    screen_y=480
    class="landscape"

    [tts]
    tts_buffer=131072
    announce_exit_directions=1
    tts_logics=3
    priority="HIGH"
    always_say_road_names=3
    announce_street_name=1
    skip_exit_numbers=2

    [shutdown_time]
    interface=0

    [folders]
    has_secondary_root=0

    [debug]
    cache=2048
    reserve_memory=209715
    (type = "motorcycle" works for Amigo)

    I get a crash.txt file generated that reads:

    ------------------- Crash Log End --------------------
    I think the relevant bit might be this: "WinCE CallStack snapshot (function names unknown - map file \SDMMC\Primo\[B]MobileNavigator.map not found)"

    Any suggestions?

    BTW, the reason I want to go to this is because try as I might, I haven't found a solution to run an MP3 player behind the navigator (the unit bluetooths to a headset in my helmet) and I understand Primo has one built in. True?

    Edit: Oh yes, I deleted the Save folder as well.

    One more thing: there's a 320_240 folder in the data.zip, but not in the branding.zip. Could that be the problem?

    D'oh! My mistake, I forgot to change the x and y sizes in [raw display]

    OK, so it boots now, but when I click on "Show map" it crashes with a couple of error messages about not being able to find mapchanger bitmaps.

    What should I do to fix that?

    - download, unpack the provided archive to the root of your SD Card/Resident Flash.
    - launch the software by executing iGO.exe

    NOTE: Additional SYS.TXT modifications might be needed to get your specific hardware (GPS/TMC receiver) recognized by the software.

    NOTE: At the moment only standard PNA resolution of 480x272 is supported. This software wont work on devices with other resolutions until a compatible skin is provided for your device specific resolution.

    NOTE: Make sure you RENAME any iGO folders from previous versions on your SD Card/Internal Storage, as Primo will find them and try to load them resulting in a crash.

    use your current igo8 content for maps etc
