any mods to make it work on 3.5" devices (i guess 320 x 240)
Further to the Gurjon MapChanger after several suggestions none of which worked for me I finally got it to work. I did not put anything in sys.txt. I put the downloaded "utility"folder under that name in" /Storage Card/Primo" (I have a Mio Moov 360 with Visual GPS Unlock) I modified the two ".ini" files in the "utility" folder to get the correct path i.e. /Storage Card/**** .
Next I left the original Whereis files Australia and basemap in the "/Storage Card/Primo/content/map" folder and put the Navteq Australia Basemap and New Zealand files in Folder named "/Storage Card/Primo/content/map_nt"
It seems that the normal "map" folder is needed to start the Primo program for the first time before using the Map Changer. After starting Primo and using the Changer to change to Navteq maps Primo rebooted and was using the Navteq maps. I then changed back to the Whereis Maps using "Other" successfully and switched off. When I had a look at the files the "map" folder had been changed to map_ta. When I looked inside there was a map.exe file and as well a map_ta.exe hidden file .It seems that because the european Primo has Teleatlas files in standard form that it is used as the default in Gurjons Skin.The Map Changer must change the original program to allow the default "map" Folder to be changed to one of the others i.e. map_nt etc. at boot.
" Fascinatin aint it".

Unfortunately the 400x240 with the 800x480 settings in the sys.txt file doesn't work on my chinese 2DIN (tid7501) device. Igo Amigo and Igo 8.3 work fine with the right data.zip (real 800x480). The screen itself looks like it is 800x480, but the mappings to the buttons don't work. It looks like that the map behind the screen stays at 400x240.
When I remove the highres=1 the screen is 400x240 and doesn't fill my screen, but the buttons work fine. I have no idea how to create a real 800x480 data.zip. Maybe someone can create one or share one?
Thanks, Pendragon
To fix the Low Memory problem you can either rename the iGO8 and Amigo folders or you can add these to the Primo sys.ini
From GPSUnderground
is it out of memory error?
does it get out of the program?
do you have igo8 or amigo on the same sdcard?
sys.txt entry
[debug]
cache=2048
reserve_memory=209715
if you have igo8 or amigo on the same sdcars and you did not fix the content folder then use this entry:
[folders]
has_secondary_root=0
or rename "igo8" folder to "igo8.3" and "amigo" folder to "new amigo"

@ NS!
I tried many data.zip on my Chinese d/din res 800_480. The one you upload on front page, corlour, screen display and all functions work best and faster than other, i downloaded on other webside.
@pendagon!
If you would like to try Primo on full screen but not real res:800_480, you can do trick, i upload save folder set on my unit, download and replace the one you have on SD card, after you successful load and set-up primo what's you like on your unit (i got all function working and latest GJmpp 1.7), open save folder and delete all the files you downloaded from mine and enjoy. I have 3 units and play with them no problem either differance Brand and Res.
Got it working ok on my two Binatones
Z430 and X350
took a bit of stuffing about to get it going on the X350, finding the right "data.zip" and the correct sys.ini adjustments
Only thing that I can't seem to get working is the TTS
All voices and TTS files loaded into the Primo root as per Hollowman's directions, Sys.ini modded to include the
[tts]
tts_buffer=131072
announce_exit_directions=1
tts_logics=3
priority="HIGH"
always_say_road_names=3
announce_street_name=1
skip_exit_numbers=2
but still not working
If you can't run with the DOGS, Stay on the Porch
have you got your 4 tts dll files in primo root directory?
LoqEnglish6.9.dll
LoqTTS6_util.dll
LoqTTS6.dll
LOQMSX.dll

Anybody know how to get smart routes to work. I guess I need Tele Atlas's Speed Profiles historical speed database.Any advice.
Thanks
Smart Routes...
Chooses the best route based on day of week and time of day
Considers past speed patterns
Utilizes........
Traffic patterns (Navteq)
Speed Profiles (Tele Atlas)
The additional info is in separate content files (.HSP and .FSP) extensions.
"The SW feature is included in the base product, but requires additional content and content license".

any idea where to get them
i suppose you need to be using Tele Atlas maps and have current Tele Atlas’s Speed Profiles historical speed databases but where they would be located i dont know but if i come across them i will post here.
maybe someone else knows?
