    screen_x = 800
    screen_y = 480
    class = "landscape"

    Just found a low mem version of the spoken street names. TTS NUANCE for those having trouble with TTS LOQUENDO

    Haven't tried it yet, just started the DL. Thought I'd pass the word before the link goes dead.

    Sure!

    They were for Amigo but work equally as well on Primo.

    Hi! I'm stuck into something weird. I have Sony u93Tw with 2G internal memory and 2G produo stick. Primo is running great but I want to put all the maps on stick (the rest of content folder will remain on device). What line I have to add in sys.txt??
    already tryed ;maps="\MemoryStick\primo\content\map"
    ;mappath="\MemoryStick\primo\content\map"
    and is not working

    Have you turned on Junction View in the settings. Intersections with junction views are few and far between. Normaly found when exiting a freeway. (but not always).

    Thanks! I did turn it on, just didn't know the junction views are few and far between. I was wondering why I didn't see any junction views.

    Default Primo

    Dear all,
    Many thanks to all for the help on this thread and in particular to NS for the download link.
    I have been running iGO8 on double din unit from Hoatoa (8.3.279297 March 2nd 2009) and getting well used it except for glare off the screen.
    Just last week, I bought a 5" unit, also Chinese, YFAtlas running the same version. Hardly any glare despite the unit sitting on top of the dash as opposed to in the dash. The YF unit runs on Wince 6.0 which will steepen the learning curve. I have no problems or complaints since I paid less for the latter unit than Navman were asking to upgrade my Navman iCN520.
    Having browsed and found this forum, I look forward to climbing that learning curve and have installed Primo just for the exercise. Amazed at how easy and yes, it seems to work straight off although haven't ventured outside yet. At nearly 11.00pm, that can keep 'til morning.
    My learning curve will be all the steeper because I use Apple Mac and have since the Mac Plus in the early 80's. To long ago and too old to change. I look forward to learning from those who've been there.

    hi all,
    here is a link to 800x480 data.zip, you have to rename it to data.zip:

    and here is the sys.txt:

    [interface]
    show_exit=1
    extra_settings=1
    resolution_dir="800_480"
    vga=0

    [rawdisplay]
    highres=0
    screen_x=800
    screen_y=480
    class="landscape"

    thanks go to mobile passion people

    Default Primo

    Hello again,
    After installing the downloaded file, I tried the unit this morning and found same as previous poster, Smithster that the satellites couldn't be found. So, as per NS's tip, I adjusted the sys.txt file and bingo.
    I had to guess the port number and baud rate though as I was unable to find out what they were anywhere on the unit or the purchase listing.
    So thanks to noService again.
    One difference seems to be that text entry for favourites seems to be only available in upper case ie caps.

    Hi, I am trying to get Primo up and running on a double din 7" Zenec German unit. It loads fine but right near the end on the MAINSCREEN LOAD, a message pops up saying
    Failed to open file ui_igo9\common\ui\simplephone.lua exiting application.
    What do i need to do?
    Just checked the zip file and there is no simplephone.lua in the common folder.

    OK, after 2 hours of messing around, i took a simplephone.lua from another data.zip and now it starts up but when i press "show map" a message comes up " Failed to open file speedlimit_cond.spr exiting application " If i press the MORE button to get into the settings menu, all i see is the background pic and no menu.

    My units resolution is 480_234
    I think that you are right. My data.zip that i am using has 480_272, 480_234, 400_240 and 320_240 resolution files in it. The only one that works is the 320_240 the program launches fine and the TTS works. The only thing is that the speed limit sign it i little bit distorted, a bit oval. Do you know where i can download a 480_234 data.zip?? THANKS Preferably NOT Rapidshare as there is always problems. Tells me that my i.p. address is already downloading a file when i am not downloading anything.
