Found out anything on that OS yet?
I found another MTK unit on eBay with a different menu, don't have the highest hopes on the unit, seems like too much for too little. But hopefully I can get a working OS off it.

But that's it. Doesn't go beyond the welcome screen.
The thing drives me mad. Ever seen a flying GPS? Just wait and see.

There's a plain WinCE 6 ROM arround here... Have you tried that? Just to get you started... Also, can you post the contents of the SD card when you are using 82F and the contents when you are using any other ROM? You've got it working with that ROM and menu. Is it not working now?

The topic to where you are refering fixed my own GPS.
Then I ordered one for a friend and that's the one I bricked. grrr.
I bricked it with config.
Now I tried every config possible. Nothing works.
You didn't flash a new bootloader did you? (files ending with .bld)
As stated previously in the thread, if you flash the wrong bootloader, it's probably permanently bricked!

Nope, been very carefull about this because I've read the warning here.
From all the files I have uploaded I deleted the bootloaders.

The rom I need is not on the Greek site.
I need the 82F but NS is looking what kind of WinCE was on it.
The site I bought it from says 6 but I cannot install that and I don't have 5 so ... Still hoping NS can help me.
Hi, did u ever find a flash rom for this device..I have same problem, if i put a logo.bmp file in sd card it boots, changes to new logo then says boot: no found logo: ok os : no found...launching image... any ideas.Ok, I think this is the ultimate problem.
I have one of these GPS devices:
I hacked it so I could access WinCE, using a registry hack. It worked fine, but some time after it stopped reading the SD card.
I recovered the registry, but now it won't pass the loading screen.
So, I now have a GPS that doesn't boot, doesn't connect to Windows, and doesn't read the SD card. Oh, and I can't send it to Chine because I already opened it.
Any radical solution to this?

I guess it needs the correct name of image file and a boot file, anyone have any ideas before I throw this unit in the bin..
I made the mistake of trying to unlock it with Miopock(you can laugh).
Since then got caught in the splash screen.
Maybe with a firmware update I can resurrect it.

I think that you should delete that "logo.bmp" from the SD Card after updating. Your updating the logo every time the device restarts if not. So you update the logo and then take the card out when it reboots. After restart, connect to the PC, push the card in and delete the logo file. Or maybe I've misunderstood the problem.

Can you connect to it using ActiveSync? If you do, using CeRegEditor (free, google for it), connect to the device's registry and delete:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init\Launch9999
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\init\Depend9999
Then reset the device and restore to factory settings. I had MioPocket installed too, but after the first reboot, it starting gooing in a loop: WinCE desktop -> MioPocket's first page (Favorites)->... I'm waiting for another device (I've sold mine), and I intend to try different unlockers / menus.

without the logo it just hangs, cannot access the registry or active sync it, I remember that all i did was deleted a startup file in the registry thinking that I didnt want it to boot with that program but to boot with a different menu or just into windowsce, so i replaced it from launch.exe to iphonetoday.exe and had this problem ever since, tried everything so far so I guess I need to reflash with a new rom.

see the messages above taht i asked questions too that is the exact same unit post number 232, apparently it is a YG902m board inside version 2.3 and it seems to be an mt3315, from mediatech, update from last post...removed logo.bmp and renamed an eboot5324.nd0 to eboot.nd0 and now just a blank screen, no logo or anything, tried putting logo.bmp back on but no go. still just a blank screen, when plugged into usb just shows battery charging symbol, i think this one is going into the rubbish or is going to learn to fly very soon...
