    Default New yf06/08 firmware

    new Chinese firmware is here:

Supposedly it will increase OS speed & gps performance. Just tried it briefly but the chinese ui makes it useless for me.

New bootloader files are also included. maybe yfbtpa06.bld is useful for those who bricked their units with the old YFBtPI06.bld file.

It's for _GO but you culd try it!

And you should have a !RestoreSD folder on the CD that came with your device; the files inside it should be copied to your flash disk if all went well and you can see your device through ActiveSync. You may need to edit "sdupdate.ini".

Well, another GPS noob here, lol

Anyways, got this model: and through trying to upgrade it, accidentally installed another bootloader...now it will seem to install os updates (.imgs), going through the Read/Erase/Write process, but no matter what after that when it boots normally I just get the normal boot image.

    Any ideas?

WOW, where the hell do you find these files...you are so cool dude..but, it almost worked, after reflash it all boots, and the coloured bar goes all the way to the end and then...just reboots again, constant reboot loop and still cant access through usb, almost there..unless my unit is just knackered..LOL. thanks again for trying..

What do you mean by 'boot image'?
Does it all it has to do but you're welcome screen is wrong?

Yeah, not the best wording, but I meant "boot image" as in the picture that shows up when you startup the device (Default on this one is for some reason a car sitting beside a windmill, which I quickly changed)

So, like it'll show that picture and sit there (which I know is the problem if you say install something incorrectly as the gps' built in menu won't show up, of course I've tried installing a few different menus/os's (both the .wzp files and .imgs))

Do you know the version of the ROM?
Is it 82A or 82F or something else.

And if you erase the rom, what number bootloader you see when you reset the GPS with the sd-card OUT?

Oh , yeah sorry should've added that too.
    Rom Version is 82F
    and bootloader shows version 0172
and (if this is useful) it's the 480X272 version with wince 6.0, and 64mb RAM and 128MB Flash (according to the bluescreen thing)

Did you tried the one I posted erlier?

This one has a newer booloader.
First try without and when it doesn't work, try with.

Hm..I looked through all 14 pages and didn't see that link...

but OMG IT WORKED! Even after previously installing bootloader(s) that I thought would've totally screwed everything up, this (Somehow) got it to work! Thanks a lot Shoppy!
