any help would be appreciated
By your choice: 1.Create on sd root a non-empty file named FGo2CE.bld (write watever you want in that file) then reset. From wince desktop copy ResidentFlash2 content OR 2. Find an yfapp.wzp for your device, which most probably is 32B, copy it in the root of sd then reset.
Hello,
I can't have activesync on my PC using Windows.
The mass storage function is OK, but activesync disconnect immediately after trying to connect.
I had no problem before with activesync.
I check my usb cable and my PC with other old PNA (Takara brand) , no problem with activesync, so the problem is within my Chinese PNA.
I've never touched the firmware on my chinese PNA.
I've done a reset (punching a stick through the small hole ), but the problem remains.
This is the PNA I have:
1.CPU: MTK3551
2.Frequency: 500mHz
3.Display: TFT color touch screen
4.Size of Screen:5.0 inch
5.Resolution:800*480 pixels
Operating system: WinCE 6.0
1.SDRAM:128M
2.Flash ROM:128M RAM
3.External extending card: SD/MMC card,support to 8GB
Rom version: V.912C.211100.120214.128M
App version: V2.2ABF-NUI20-HD-EN
System ID: 00000000-00000000-00000000-000003ec
Should I try to flash the firmware ?
Can someone give me a link to the firmware (or a latest version)?
Thank you.
Read . GIYF ...
Thank you for the link, but this doesn't resolve the problem.
I've disabled my firewall and antivirus, the problem still remains.
One remark:
Sorry I'm using Windows7 (64bits), so I use WM6 instead of ActiveSync4.5
With the same PC, same WindowsMobile version 6.1.6965 I can connect to my old Takara (running WinCE 5). Unplug Takara and plug my CHinese --> no connection,
immediately unplug CHinese and replug Takara --> got connection.
So I think there is something wrong with my Chinese PNA and nothing wrong with my PC (even with firewall and antivirus enabled: tested with my Takara PNA connected).
What do you think ?
You probably haven't read the article furthermore linked on that page...
Isn't surprising me, and, with a little thinking about what you experienced with this testing, you should have found the answer how to solve the problem by yourself...
If Windows Moblie Device Center (WMDC) gets installed and connected for the first time with a mobile device, it internally a) generates 'connection data' and b) stores them for future use. Hence if you try to establish a connection with another mobile device, this by nature MUST fail due to fact stored 'connection data' no longer are valid. Solution: Remove the USB-cable between devices. Power off mobile device. Completely uninstall WMDC, so that all 'connection data' stored really get erased. Reset your desktop PC (a redundant operation, I know it). Re-install WMDC at desktop PC. Connect devices via USB-cable. Power on mobile device. The connection with the Chinese PNA should be established without any hassles.

Followed your instructions without success.
Remove USB cable, power off mobile, unistall WMDC, reset PC, reinstall WMDC, connect device via USB cable, power on device. ==> no success..
What I see while pluging the device, Windows start searching the drivers: first: found and install "Microsoft USB Sync" and second: found and install "GPS mobile".
I kept an eye during this process by entering Device Manager or devmgmt.msc to launch the Device Manager window.
I've seen "GPS mobile" dissapeared leaving only "Microsoft USB sync" on mobile device tree.
Need your help /comments.
Thanks
Sorry, really forgot, before I answered you, to ask you these questions:
1. can your Chinese device 'ActiveSync', means is "repllog.exe" present in \Windows?
2. is 'ActiveSync' activated on your Chinese device, means device's USB-mode is set to "serial_class"?
Hi jwoegerbauer,
1) As I have no access to my device via WMDC, so I can't check if "repllog.exe" present in \Windows on my device.
2) How to set USB-mode to "serial-class" on my chinese PNA ?
Because before this trouble, I just set the USB mode to "MS Activesync", run WMDC on desktop PC then I got the connection
I have only 2 options with my device using USB: "Use MS Activesync" or "Use as Mass Storage"
Use as Mass Storage ==> My desktop PC shows only the SDCard (no access to internal device storage area like Windows, "residentflash"...)
Use as MS Activesync ==> WMDC on desktop, got the problem you already know.
Tried to search "repllog.exe" within my \Windows on my desktop PC, not found.
This repllog.exe is supposed to be on chinese device (\Windows) ?
Additional info:
With ActiveSync' activated on Chinese device, on my desktop PC using COntrolPanel/Printer&Peripheral, I got this:
Printer->EPson, Microsoft XPS Document Writer
Unspecified peripheral->Generic Serial (PROTOTYPE--Remember to change idVendor).
What's this ? PROTOTYPE--Remember to change idVendor???

Is your problem total lack of connection or connection as a "Guest"?
Hello Jaguarp,
No, I'm the administator of my Win7(64bit), so no Guest account.
On my desktopPC with WMDC, I just get connection then immediately disconnected. With other PNA (Takara), no problem.

Hello
I have the YF GPS 84A-3 and once I enabled the password feature on WinCE then I was stuck at the logon page since the device doesn't bring up a keyboard on screen to use to enter the password.
I wish to revert the device back to the factory originals is there anyone here who can give me firmware to flash this device?
If you can access device via ActiveSync, might be you should be able to use the PC's keyboard to enter password...
Hi jwoegerbauer, jaguarp and all.
Since a have problems with Activesync/WMDC with my Chinese PNA (BT, AVIN, FM, WinCE6, 128Mb, 800*480, 5", MTK3551, Rom version: V.912C.211100.120214.128M, App version: V2.2ABF-NUI20-HD-EN), I flashed with this version (Rom version: V.912C.211100.120207.128M, App version: V1.5ABF-NUI11-HD-TU).
This is older than previous one. (V1.5 < V2.2).
I got Activesync/WMDC working flawlessly, but the Bluetooth doesn't work and the PNA interface is older.
Can someone give me the firmware V2.2ABF-NUI20-HD-EN or better/last version ?
Thank you
Gokuofuin: create in sd root a file named EraseReg.fmt, content EraseReg, insert card then reset. It should restore registry to default (factory)... Don't forget to delete this file after first reset.
