Hi thanks for the quick reply Jwoegerbauer excuse my ignorance so does that mean that bluetooth cannot be enabled or added both units look exactly the same everything else on them the same when i went into windows control panel on the unit it had a bluetooth icon there when i clicked on it it gave error message and a number if that means anything like i said im not very tech so i came out and shut it down ..............this is the reply i got from them ..............Thanks for your reply and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Unfortunately, bluetooth will need a special chipset build in the GPS (Not only software upgrading)..If firmware could solve the issue we will help you.
If you prefer, we could also help on returning for full refund for you ?......
Thanks again Jwoegerbauer for your help...

    Hey Guys

as you guys can think I'm either asking for help finding a certain firmware or asking for help cause I accidently bricked my GPS ( Don't even ask how i managed to do it).

    Ok here the problem:

I somehow wasn't paying attention while working on the GPS and managed to delete my init in the Registry which killed my GPS. Because I am now stuck in Bootscreen while other stuff like charging etc. still works. The next absolute killing thing about this is I know I looked up the System Info Screen a million times but I simply can't remember anything anymore... Neither ROM etc.

Please don't be angry having to answer over and over but I checked several pages here and couldn't find the appropriate stuff I need.

Is there any chance how I can unbrick my device?

If it is from any help here is some techical data of the GPS. I guess all those GPS are still the same stuff just with other packaging and so on?

It is an Eroda X20 GPS with Bluetooth + AV IN + TV and so on.

What do you mean with 'wallpaper/logo'? Different things! Wallpaper usually means OS's background image, logo usually means the initial screen image shown when unit starts.

sorry, she said she put her own "design" on a wallpaper part of the OS (when it was functioning). initial car start , the wallpaper showed up then the "buttons" (navigation, ipod, radio, etc) with the wallpaper in the background, after the 3rd start- the wallpaper just froze and initially you can see the "booting circle"-like the hourglass. after that the wallpaper just froze when started. any hope for this unit?
    thanks

Ah, now I see: it's neither CE's wallpaper (OS related), nor device's boot-logo (board manufacturer related). It's the device's skin (navigational menu) which became corrupted. This software is OEM related.

thanks for the reply. (the seller is not answering phones or e-mails so there is no way to get the software-i did download their latest innosoft software but to no avail.) any other way to "fix" this thing? i guess it can still recognize the sd card when inserted.
    regards

AFAIK the InnoSoft software package (2011-Universal_InnoSoftV3_Free_SD) comes with these 2 files of importance: InnoSoft.exe and InnoSoft.ini. I suppose InnoSoft.exe is searched for if device gets powered on. If you study contents of script \InnoSoft\Scripts\Start.mscr then you'll see your device probably is a YF one. Assumed that's true, you should be able to enter Windows CE. Scroll back some posts here where in detail it's described how to enter CE-mode with a YF-device. Also some posts above you find instructions how to force a YF device to delete and re-create CE's registry.

Hi , I'm coming back to you because my chinese gps is completly bricked, I need to reflash all and to put it in the service mode but mine is different from the others you site on website (there are not 3 dots to put it in service mode). I'm quite good in electronic and I managed to get a serial link with the gps. I think I can access the ARM (the microcontroller that run windows) to manage to reflash it. But I need some help to understand the meaning of what it say :
    Code:
    B_16M
    N_CIS ECC_TYPE_32BIT1KB
                            OK

yanouriou : When comes to this point
Press [ENTER] to download now or [SPACE] to cancel.
it starts a counter. You have to press space before the counter reaches zero and it will enter eboot menu (bootmonitor). Take care what you are doing in that menu, better ask. A wrong selection in bootmonitor could completely brick your device.
