Is this an offset dish or a prime focus. I would say yes it's possible with either but you'd need to be accurate with tweaking your dish and lnb.
Love to hear back how you go.

Hi All,
Just wondering if I am able to catch channels from Intelsat 5 with a 120cm dish in SE suburbs of Melbourne.
Thanks in advance.

Well I was going to buy a 85cm dish for D2 and Intelsat 8, but if I get a 120cm then if ever I get a C band lnb I can try out intelsat 5 to see if I can watch a couple of channels.
If the 120cm dish is offset you'll either have to get a c-band offset lnb or on ebay you can get a Conical Scalar Ring and Lnb bracket like in the link below.
Using the correct Lnb setup on a offset dish will improve signal pickup. You can use a standard cband LNB but the efficiency will be poor.

Water pools in a conical ring in an offset position, so I'd suggest nicking the wife's tupperware lid to cover that ring. It should be both UV resistant and microwave transparent. Alternatively, drill a drain hole in the ring or mount the dish upside down. I temporarily had one with a plastic shopping bag over it once.
