try 10600
I live in an apartment building were every apartment is connect to foxtel via satellite.
I can't seem to get a signal at all and was thinking that maybe they use a different type of satellite for large apartments.
I have tried LNB
11300 and
10700
Does anyone use a DM500s in an apartment block or have set one up before?

Do all the apartments have a fox box or do you just
get fox on your tv (just a couple of channels)
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
Each apartment has to get their own fox box and contract.
Has your apt had fox befre some apts blocks were not completely set up ei not all apt connected to the splitters only connected when fox installed
does your verandah face North?
Try the LNB settings suggested and look in your carpark under the building or in a room close by. The previous block of apartments I was living in had the splitter/multiswitch/amplifier in the carpark on the ceiling near all the cable trays that was easily accessible by a 1 metre step ladder. It may just be a matter of connecting your apartment up yourself
I can see all the cables in the carpark but they all seem to be connected already and none of them are numbered so I am not sure which ones are mine.
Was in a mates apartment earlier this morning with a Dream.
The odd thing we found was that 2 transponders were giving low signal,.. not enough to get anything viewable. The 2 interesting enough were only the ones that FBO hang off though.
Unusual in a large apartment we thought ?
Would/could there be other mechanisms in play filtering these out ?
The transponders were 12607 V & 12567 V on C1. Perhaps more a missing, this was just at a glance through.
Any ideas, or is this just a lousy dish setup ?
[EDIT:] Special comments for mumbler,.. yes he has a balcony, faces north and that may be the alternative
Thanks,
Jim.....
