    Hi again

After resetting the box to factory default I started with "LNB LO frequencies are 10.700GHz, sometimes shown as 10700, and 11.300GHz (11300)" , Symbol Rate set to 22 500 and I used Blind Scan. I can see "ERT" in the station ID but no picture or sound. Plenty of other FTA stations show up; just not ERT (get colour test pattern type bars)

I don't have a clue what to try any more.

    G'Day Cobbers,
After lengthy investigation, Deleting all D2(B3) channels and doing a Blind Scan on my SRT4658X, we found 17 Transponders (7 V & 10 H).
Careful checking elicited that ERT appears as a test pattern on 12733 V (#37) as well as 12609 H (#96) which is the one you are looking for.

Glad to be of service after all your frustration.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

I tried these settings 12608 22 500 as well (using manual scan); still no ERT :-(

    I don't know what "3/4" means

    12608/12609 immaterial!
You more than likely have it there, just not looking in the right place.

Thank you to everyone who responded. In desperation my M_I_L is going to pay for someone to come over and sort it out. (Keep in mind that one of the people who also tried rescanning this Strong box couldn't figure it out even though he has done several re-scans for family & friends of family).

    Hello everyone,

I am trying to get our ERT World service back up and running.

Most of the info I have seen on the web does not seem to help me.

This is what I can tell you.

We have a dish form the old TARBS days.

We have a Strong 4653x box.

Can I change frequency? Or do I need a new box or a technician to do it?

By the way, I have not understood alot of the jargon here.

Hello sav, your strong srt4653x has got a blind scan feature and it will automatically search for all transponders if you know how to use it.So here we go
    select any channel on D2
    press menu on your remote
    installation is highlighted
move to right volume on your remote
    dish settings is highlighted
    move channel down on remote
go to blind scan and press OK
    Optus D2 is highlighted
    move volume right
    Highlighted now is PRESS OK
you should see now----sr fast---pol all and mode all
on the remote press ok and she will start scanning
it will take about 10 to 15 minutes to scan
when it finishes press exit three times or until you see a picture
use your remote as normal and see if you got extra channels and your ert world.
I assume that you are already using this strong box and dish to view optus d2

    Sav,

If your dish is still pointing where it was for TARBS (Optus B3 satellite) and the dish and the LNB are still in good condition, then they should be ok.

The Optus B3 satellite was replaced by Optus D2, so in your list of satellites on your strong decoder, it will probably still be listed as Optus B3.

If you follow the instructions posted by frachwal but selecting Optus B3 or D2, whichever one you have in your decoder, you should find around 90 FTA channels on D2, including ERT.

I aligned a dish and tuned ERT on the exact same model Strong decoder yesterday, so it's working fine.

If you can't understand/follow the instructions, it would probably be easier to have someone set it up for you.

    Where are you located?
