    Cheers
    you can try also:

    remove smargo and put it back, then in console: sudo dmesg
    Smargo address should be listed somewhere at the bottom of the info.

    Decided to try this today and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work until I tried the line "Device = Serial:Reader xx" with the caps in place.

    Code:
    device  = serial:reader xx
    doesn't work, but

    Code:
    device  =  Serial:Reader xx
    works

    hehe.. that must be the only case sensitive entry line in oscam config files.
    Thanks for sharing, might save someone else a gray hair or two

    Well here is my reader config that changes sometimes when I reboot the server in some or other reason

    # oscam.server generated automatically by Streamboard OSCAM 1.20-unstable_svn SVN r8077
    # Read more:

    [reader]
    label = |0d03|
    protocol = smartreader
    device = 001:004
    pincode =
    smargopatch = 1
    cacheex_maxhop = 5
    caid = 0D03,0D05
    detect = cd
    mhz = 961
    cardmhz = 357
    ident = 0D03:000004;0D03:000000;0D05:000000,000008,000010, 000088
    group = 1,2,3,4
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-u = 1
    lb_weight = 200
    auprovid = 000D03

    and now it gave me with
    #lsusb -v | grep Serial
    the following

    # lsusb -v | grep Serial
    Bus 001 Device 019: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) IC
