The price changes aren't that dramatic.

It will be interesting to see how the iQ3 will go in rural areas though,

We are currently working on the first truly national PVR, the iQ3, which will combine the best of the iQ and MyStar functionality and add many new features that draw on the best set top box technology from around the world.
    Cheers, Tiny

Obviously you are travelling Ok Tiny but the $11 extra a month I shall have to choose whether or not to pay on my package whilst it may not be "dramatic" it is a "substantial slug" IMHO.

    From the above link
Get Started, currently $45 per month is renamed as Essentials at $47 per month (includes IQ
    and
But Sport increases from $16 per month to $25 per month

Maybe the other decreases in the various addons in your package will mean you pay less but not in my case

That does appear to be a significant increase in your case, I'd be pissed off about that.

According to this doc no change for me at all.

It's Sport that primarily drives Foxtel subscriptions, so they're hitting that area hardest because they figure sport-heads will keep paying for it

As I dont have the sports package I dont care what they charge but I should save either $5 or $7 a month as I have the full movie pack.
I dont have either a Mystar or IQ and as far as I am concerned, I will stay with the plain STB's.
I have a DVD/HDD combo connected and that does all my recording for me without any of the restrictions imposed by either the MyStar or IQ.
For Terrestrial I have a pocket HDD connected to a spare HD STB.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

This is part of the reason Selectv didn't survive

That and they hardly ever advertised their services, here where I live all I ever saw was a decal stuck on shop door of our local electronics store and a few pamphlets in a floor display.
The Staff didnt appear to have much info about Selectv and what it offered either when asked.

I got an email from them last week but as far as I can see nothing has changed just a few channels have migrated between packages.

    This from their Email;

From 1st March, we are simplifying our packaging and pricing. We’re pleased to let you know that your current monthly subscription will not change. A few channels will move between packages. Check out the summary below to see what may affect your package.

In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Lucky you Seymour as I got a letter today telling me my Subscription has increased by $1.05 and I am on an 'Older Package' (Austar)?
I took everything including World Movies and the History Channel but not the Sports package and havent since Sport was made a separate deal.
Like you I see Sci Fi and Fuel have been 'moved' to the Sports Package but if I do loose 'Fuel' on Ch 516which I dont think I have ever watched, whats the $1.05 increase for?
And I also have a booklet called "Residential Subscription Agreement', Effective from 1 March 2013.

    Yep, same no permission??
Tiny, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

    1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
    2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Sorry guys, I don't think I can do anything about the permissions but essentially the package I am on is the old Platinum package which is essentially everything except porn

Is this still a problem ? If so, is that just when you click on it ?
