Default What happen to DM500S if 'Factory reset' is activated ?

I am beginning to wonder, otherwise I won't take sever risk with it, after the Gemini 4.3.1 version newly installed and if I activated the 'Factory reset' then would the Gemini 4.3.1 version wipe out entirely and leave phony old original 'PLi' 1.9 version in it when restarted ??? Please tell me whether should I do that or never ?

No mate you need to reflash your box to get it back to how it was.

    I have a spare dream 500 and I can't remember if I
downloaded a Gemini image or just the cam just after Christmas
Now I am just to scared to turn it on
should I just leave it of for the time being

Hee, hee . . . I have two DM500S receivers, the gemini 4.3.1 version and the other one is dumb-brood PLi Ver. 1.9 ! I shouldn't gamble myself if I would spill the booth over at both of 'em.

Pli 1.9 version is old pre-installed software directly from Dreambox makers from China. That version has no Gemini softwares, and was registered by EU-Standards. Issued : November 2005.

Do you really mean Engima 1.9 (the origianl software all original boxes come with) by any chance?

    4. Helenite RC1
    5. Garnet
    6. Flubber "The Sequel"
    7. Flubber
    8. Emerald
    9. Diamond
    10. Citrine

best4less, if I were you I would be dreamuping (500 unpowered until asked to switch on, after d'up acknowledges box) with null modem first, just in case.

Yes, that it is. I've plugged out the DM500S with Engima 1.9 version and now replaced it for a new one with new 'Gemini 4.3.1' updated version. I'd really like the old Gemini 3.60 version as it have CCcam 2.0.0 to 2.0.4 installed.
